DigitalCrafts Named Atlanta's Scrappiest Startup!

"Scrappy" is good, right? We certainly hope so, because now it's official: We're proud to announce that DigitalCrafts was named Atlanta's Scrappiest Startup at the first annual Atlanta Startup Awards event on Friday, May 12.

Local nonprofit Startup Atlanta organized the event to "recognize and celebrate the city’s most successful rising tech companies, startup pioneers, and disruptive innovators," according to their event page. Awards were presented in eight categories, with titles such as Best Social Impact, Lifetime Achievement, and The Art of the Pivot along with Scrappiest Startup. Winners were chosen by an open community vote and a panel of judges.

The Scrappiest Startup Award recognizes "a startup that has achieved significant milestones over the last 12 months without ever raising equity or debt capital." There were six finalists in our category.

Over 150 people attended the gala-style event, which was held at The Gathering Spot downtown featuring a three-course dinner, open bar, and after party.

Cofounders Max McChesney and Jake Hadden were there to accept the award, along with hardworking Atlanta instructor Rob Bunch, the first instructor to join DigitalCrafts in 2015.

Startup Atlanta is focused on "growing and connecting the local startup ecosystem" here in Atlanta, and we're honored to be recognized alongside other notable members of this inspiring community. It was certainly fun, and we're already looking forward to next year!
