Automatic Scholarships for Women

Part of our mission as a school is to make careers in technology as accessible as possible, especially to the underrepresented and the highly gifted. To that end, we're proud to offer automatic scholarships to all female students, no essay required. We also sponsor "The Builder Scholarship," awarded by committee to applicants with especially inspiring backgrounds, goals, and achievements. Please note: scholarships may not be combined, and recipients do not qualify for any additional discounts or early enrollment incentives.

  • We're Investing In You

We've always been invested in our students' success, and our ISA plans make it official. Our success depends on yours, simple as that.

  • Who Is Eligable For An ISA?

Once accepted into our program, you may apply for the ISA Plan through our partner, Leif, who will run a credit check and determine eligability. The basics include: 21 years or older, US citizen, full-time student, living within commuting distance of an approved city, seeking employment immediately following graduation.

  • How Do Payments Work?

Once earning above $40,000, you'll notify Leif and they will begin collecting your payments. If you drop below a $40,000 income, your payments pause until you're back above the minimum. Leif will review annual tax returns to ensure payments are current and reconciled.

Additional Tuition Information

  • Can I change my payment method later?

ISA & Sallie Mae / Skills Fund: If you choose the ISA Plan or Sallie Mae / Skills Fund, you can't change your mind once class begins. If you'd like to switch to up front payment, you can do so up until the start of class.

You can pay off your balance early if you so choose. With Sallie Mae / Skills Fund, there is no pre-payment penalty, so pay off your loan as soon as you'd like.

  • ISA Plan: what if my job doesn't pay well, or I go back to school?

If you choose the ISA Plan, you won't make payments until you're making an income of at least $40,000, period. Above that threshold, you'll make payments equal to 10% of your monthly income.

You may only choose the ISA Plan if you intend to enter the workforce. If you lose your job, or if your income otherwise drops below the minimum, your ISA will move into a deferment period and payments pause until you re-enter the workforce.

  • ISA Plan: What if I decide to accept a job outside of development?

If you accept a position outside of development, or become self-employed, you're still responsible for making payments according to your ISA terms. The $40,000 trigger is based on taxable income, and isn't affected by the source.

  • What is the withdrawal / refund policy?

We adhere to the state-mandated refund policies in both Georgia and Texas. In Georgia, a pro-rated refund will be given up until the 50% point. In Texas, a pro-rated refund will be given up until the 75% point.

ISA: If you withdraw within the refund period, the terms of your ISA Plan will be pro-rated accordingly. For example, if you withdraw at the 25% point, your ISA will be shortened from 48 to 12 months.

Sallie Mae / Skills Fund: If you withdraw within the refund period, and you financed tuition through Sallie Mae / Skills Fund, we'll pro-rate your refund and lower the balance of your loan accordingly. You'll still be responsible for making the associated payments for your remaining balance.

  • Do I have to use Sallie Mae if I want to finance tuition?

Sallie Mae is our preferred lender, but most students are free to use Skills Fund as well, or any local bank or specialty lender like LendingTree, LendingClub, Upstart, SoFi, etc. Here is a list of 10 alternatives.

Exception: students enrolling in one of our partnership programs, like KSU, cannot use Skills Fund at this time.

  • When is tuition due? What payment methods are accepted?

If financing, you'll need to secure approval from Sallie Mae (or a different lender) to reserve your seat in class. If paying up front, tuition is typically due 2 weeks prior to the start of class. If you use a lender other than Sallie Mae / Skills Fund, tuition is due as if you're paying up front.

We accept bank transfer (ACH), cash, and checks (any bounced checks will incurr a fee). While we can accept credit card payments, we do pass along the 3% payment processing fee for amounts in excess of the $250 deposit.

  • How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?

The $250 deposit reserves your seat in class and is fully refundable if you decide not to join us. You may also finance the deposit through Sallie Mae / Skills Fund if you choose, but you may not be eligable for certain early enrollment discounts.

  • Can I combine multiple scholarships or discounts?

Scholarships recipients do not qualify for any additional discounts or early enrollment incentives, and may not combine scholarships. Early enrollment incentives / discounts are listed next to the associated cohort on the 'schedule' pages.

  • Is corporate pricing available for my employee(s)?

Employers often send employees through our training programs! Please reach out to with all corporate inquiries.

  • Can I use GI Bill® funds or VET TEC towards tuition?

Unfortunately, DigitalCrafts doesn't yet qualify for the GI Bill, but we are approved for VET TEC and, in most cases, WIOA assistance.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government web site at

  • What about Pell grants or Federal student loans?

No, you may not use federal student loans or Pell grants for coding bootcamps.
